BIN KLEINER MAN
A refugee from Daghestan and professional wrestler came to Germany with his family and settled in small city of the East. His life is caught between his homeland's traditions and the values of his new country. The strict rules and roles division of his family strongly influence his daily life and decisions. As a female photographer, this context has also affected my relationship with him and his relatives; until this topic that became part of my story, and finally the symbol of his daily struggle of balancing two worlds.
The installation is shown as tryptique of two frames and three images to underline his struggle; these frames are surrounded by smaller images spotting lights on the everyday life.
